Modern Day Analysis

During the Cold War, there were alot of issues including civil rights issues. Today, you can still see some of those problems, including racial issues, problems with sexual orientation, and prejudice. Today, some people who work in stores are racist and they will follow someone of a different race around the store because they think they will steal something just because of the color of their skin. Even people on the street will show these issues. Also, people show prejudice all the time still. It is mostly older people who show this because that is the way their parents raised them. Most older people dont agree with interracial couples or children because in their childhood, they were told by their parents that its a bad thing to be with anyone outside of their race. So, alot of the same issues are shown now as they were shown in the Cold War, but not nearly as severe. I think that if these problems were as bad today as they were then, then life as we know it would be alot worse with far more problems.
